A lot of driving today. Texas isn't the only place with windmills. California was dry and desert-like until we went through the Tehachapi mountain pass, then it became green and beautiful with orchards and vineyards everywhere. The Sequioa National Park, which was our destination for the day, had four feet of snow and required snow chains or 4 wheel drive, so we decided to stop at Fresno instead. Tomorrow it is on to San Francisco!
